Visit the Sky Views in Dubai – practical information, prices, opening hours, tickets...

Category :

Downtown Dubai is the most central and modern district of Dubai. It is home to the impressive Burj Khalifa tower – the tallest in the world – and to the Dubai Mall – also the biggest mall in the world. Less impressive but still noteworthy, it is in this area that you can find the famous Dubai Fountain. It's not the biggest fountain in the world... but not surprisingly, that one can still be found in Dubai: on Palm Jumeirah Island!

Recently, a new activity opened its doors in this iconic Downtown Dubai neighborhood: The Sky Views Observatory. This observatory, located in an incredible sky bridge connecting two twin towers that stand 853 feet high (260 m), is about to become one of Dubai's most popular attractions. Don't miss this must-do activity in Dubai during your stay!

An observation platform unique in the world

In Dubai, you can see some of the most impressive buildings on the planet, and the Sky Views observatory is actually located in one of those. The Address Sky View is a complex made up of two towers, which stand 777 feet and 856 feet high respectively (237 and 261 m). They are connected by an impressive 3-level platform, which includes a gigantic infinity pool, a restaurant, a bar and a terrace. The shape of the top of this incredible complex is reminiscent of a cruise ship.

The highest tower contains only the most luxurious residences, while the second tower houses mainly a 5-star hotel and a large gourmet restaurant.

The visit of Sky Views

The visit of Sky Views begins with an impressive ascent – by taking the glass elevator, you will already be able to appreciate a beautiful panoramic view of Dubai. You will then reach the observation platform located on the 52nd floor of tower 1, from where you will admire a superb view of the city.

Here, the view is quite different from the one you could see from the Burj Khalifa observation deck, for one simple reason – you will be able to see the Burj Khalifa itself! The view on this emblematic building, on the Burj Khalifa Lake and its fountain, and on the Skyline of Dubai is particularly impressive.

But the visit also holds other surprises:

  • The Sky Glass Floor, a large glass walkway that connects the two towers of the complex, on the 53rd floor level. This walkway is reminiscent of the one at the top of the Dubai Frame… except that it is 230 feet higher (70 m). Standing on the glass floor, you will enjoy an exceptional view of the cityscape more than 655 feet below you (200 m). Beware of vertigo!
  • Le Sky Glass Slide, a glass slide that goes over the void on the side of the building, and allows you to descend from the 53rd to the 52nd floor. During this slide, which only lasts a few moments, you will live a unique experience and will discover a panoramic view that is simply exceptional…if you manage to keep your eyes open 😉 The standard entrance ticket for the observatory visit allows for a passage on this slide. Once there – and if one ride was not enough for you – you can also pay about $5 per additional pass and do this activity as many times as you want.

  • The Sky Views Edge Walk, probably the most thrilling attraction you will experience during this visit – and that's saying something! You will be able to walk on an outdoor platform of almost 164 feet long (50 m), suspended in the void at 720 feet above the ground (220 m), and which rests on a metal structure. Equipped with a helmet and harness, you will be able to venture onto the platform, which seems to float above the city. From the end of this platform, you'll have the opportunity to really enjoy a 360-degree view without a single wall or fence to obstruct your vision. At this height, you will see not only a good part of the city, but also the sea and the desert as far as the eye can see.

Note that on the 52nd floor of the complex, you will also find a panoramic restaurant – Panorama 52.
